Terms of service
At The Body Shoppe, we strive to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where all members feel welcome. To ensure the best experience for everyone, please follow these rules and guidelines.
1) Supervision of Children
-
Children of all ages welcome. Children must be closely supervised at all times by a parent or guardian while inside the gym to ensure their safety and the comfort of other members.
-
Supervision requirements. Children under 12 must be accompanied and actively supervised by an adult at all times. Parents/guardians must remain within the gym area and maintain visual contact with their children.
2) Use of Gym Equipment
-
Children under 12. Not permitted to use any workout equipment, including weights, cardio machines, or other fitness gear. Please ensure children do not approach or interact with equipment.
-
Teenagers (ages 12–16). May use equipment only when accompanied by an adult member who understands proper use. Staff may require an introductory session for young teens.
3) Children’s Area
-
Designated space. We provide a space where children can spend time while parents work out. This area is supervised by parents and is not a paid childcare service.
-
No paid childcare. The space is a temporary, comfort area only. Parents remain responsible for their children’s safety and behavior.
4) General Conduct and Respect
-
Respect for all members. Excessive noise, running, or disruptive behavior is not permitted—especially in shared spaces or near equipment.
-
Behavioral expectations. Disrespectful, unsafe, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Members acting in an unsafe or negative manner may be asked to leave immediately, without refund.
-
Right to remove. The Body Shoppe may ask any member or guest to leave if engaging in unsafe behavior or acting negatively toward members or staff, including harassment, bullying, or other conduct that puts others at risk.
5) Parental Responsibility
-
Safety first. Parents/guardians are fully responsible for their children’s behavior and safety on the premises. Children must not wander outside designated areas or interfere with equipment use.
-
Behavior of minors. If issues arise, staff will notify the parent/guardian to address the situation.
6) Emergency Procedures
-
Emergency contact. Parents/guardians should have emergency contact information readily available and remain reachable during any visit.
